about the UPSHUR STREET CRAFT FAIR & Petworth Flea
The Upshur Street Craft Fair began 14 years ago as an indoor craft market inside Domku, then the only sit-down restaurant in the area. Domku owner, Kera Carpenter, saw the event as a way to introduce the community to the few new businesses on Upshur Street but also as a way to bring the community together to support local producers. In its first year, the fair hosted 15 vendors, mostly from the immediate Petworth neighborhood, transforming the small restaurant into a bustling European-style market hall.
For the last several years, Julie Wineinger - owner of Willow and Lulabelle's - has led the organization of the fair. Petworth is her neighborhood, and Julie strives to make both of her shops places that contribute something special to Petworth.

2026 is the inagural Petworth Flea! I summer event that focuses on vintage, unique finds, and to celebrate the Petworth neighborhood!
